At the Attlee Foundation AGM in July 2010, we said a fond farewell to Derek Wood, QC, CBE who devoted his time, knowledge and skills over six years to the Foundation as Chairman of the Board.

We have been working as part of the Department for Works & Pension – Future Jobs Fund scheme to tackle one of the major issues around unemployment and young people.Tower Hamlets has the highest concentration of unemployed young people in the UK. We have provided support, training and employment for nine young people in real jobs at our Attlee Youth & Community Centre.
