Tickets Please
“Mrs Rogers’ husband needed major specialist surgery in a hospital 112 miles away from their home. She had to rely on friends to take her to the hospital and the money from Tickets Please enabled her to pay them for the petrol. Without this help, she would not have been able to visit her husband at a time he needed her most.”
About the scheme
Tickets Please is a scheme which provides travel grants for disabled or disadvantaged people needing to make therapeutic journeys. These include journeys to enable parents to visit sick children being treated elsewhere, or to enable people to access treatment.
Individuals and families living across the UK are eligible to apply but priority is given to applications involving children and young people when funds are low. Journeys should have some therapeutic or rehabilitative value for either the person travelling or the person being visited.
Applying for a grant
If you need make a request to the Tickets Please scheme, please use the Tickets Please application and attach a stamped addressed envelope for our use in responding to you. All applications should be signed by a sponsoring agency (e.g. GP, hospital, organisation). The maximum grant is £100.
